Reinauguração de espaços culturais cariocas

O Tablado, um dos espaços de maior referência no circuito teatral da cidade, passou por reforma para melhorar estrutura e administração. Nos últimos seis meses foram realizadas obras tanto na parte cênica quanto na área externa, incluindo o jardim e a fachada, para atender de maneira mais eficiente o público e os alunos. Aliás, vale lembrar que o curso voltou a sindicalizar seus participantes.

Espaço Sérgio Porto

Uma programação intensa, com 25 horas de duração, marcou a reinauguração do Espaço Cultural Municipal Sérgio Porto, que havia sido destruído em um incêndio no ano passado. Projetos como o Humaitá pra Peixe e o CEP 20.000, além de espetáculos de teatro e dança e uma exposição, reunindo artistas que já ocuparam o espaço, são algumas das atividades que preparadas para comemorar a data, que também marca o aniversário de 25 anos do centro cultural.

Reinauguration of cultural centers in Rio de Janeiro

The Tablado, one of the largest theatre spaces in the city, passed through a reform to improve it’s structure and administration. In the last six months both scenic and external area were reformed, including the garden and the facade, to attend more effectively the public and students. Moreover, it’s important to remeber that the course participants returned to join trade unions.

Sergio Porto Area

The Cultural Centre Sergio Porto was destroyed in a fire last year. Projects such as Humaitá pr Peixe, as well as spectacles of dance and theatre and an exhibition, also bringing artists who had occupied the space, some of the activities that are prepared to commemorate the date, which also marks it’s anniversary of 25 years.

This past Sunday the 6^th, London celebrated the 50^th birthday of Bossa Nova together with the 27000 spectators, who enjoyed a beautiful day of Brazilian Music at the South Bank in London. The initiative was supported by Embratur, the Bureau of Tourism of Brazil, through their office in the UK.

Besides the live music, from the French group Nouvelle Vague and the band Zeep, the festival had a special area dedicated to cultural artifacts and  Brazilian cuisine.    

“We divulged Brazil as cultural destination through the new Bossa Nova, a style more contemporary” said Glauco Fuzinatto, the executive of Embratur in the UK.

One of the objectives was to attract and introduce this genre to a younger audience. Therefore European and Brazilian artist put the traditional songs in a new jacket, giving them a more modern sound.

On the July 2^nd, O Guanabara, a Brazilian nightclub in London officially opened the festival with Nina Miranda together with Rio Jazz, Neil C. Young and Sirius B.

Festival em Londres comemora 50 anos de Bossa Nova

Londres celebrou no último domingo, dia 6, o 50º aniversário da Bossa Nova com um festival ao ar livre que aconteceu no London’s South Bank. A iniciativa, que teve cerca de 27 mil pessoas presentes, foi apoiada pela Embratur, por meio do Escritório Brasileiro de Turismo no Reino Unido.

Além de apresentações musicais ao vivo, como a do grupo francês Nouvelle Vague e da banda Zeep (antigo Smoke City), a festa contou com uma área dedicada a artesanato, manifestações culturais e culinária brasileira.

“Divulgamos o Brasil como um destino cultural através da ‘Nova Bossa Nova’, um estilo de música mais contemporâneo”, disse o executivo do Escritório Brasileiro no Reino Unido, Glauco Fuzinatto ao comentar sobre a festa.

Um dos objetivos do Festival foi atrair gerações mais jovens e reintroduzir o gênero no repertório desse público. Para isso, artistas europeus e brasileiros interpretaram de maneira contemporânea a Bossa Nova, dando às canções tradicionais arranjos mais atuais.

No último dia 02 de julho, o Guanabara, uma casa noturna brasileira em Londres, fez o lançamento oficial do evento. Nina Miranda foi quem liderou a noite, juntamente com artistas como Rio Jazz, Neil C. Young e Sirius B.

Internships to Brazil

The IDM Institut compromises to its social responsibility and for that we will try to bring benefits and partnership to the social projects through our programs. IDM has in sight to open gates to possibilities where young foreign students and young locals can have the opportunity to amplify their knowledge and share their academic, social and professional experiences.

To enter a Brazilian university has become lately a relatively simple task. In Brazil , there are many courses and many universities, which in its majority are particular. For who have financial conditions to pay a particular college, to enter a superior education does not present great difficulties. This situation changes when we talk about the poor part of the society. There are some Public Institutions of Superior Education in the country and these are considered of excellent quality. However, the number of Public Universities is insufficient to take care of the demand of the population. Therefore, the selective process for ingression in a public university is very concurred.

There is just a way to enter in Brazilian Universities: through the vestibular contest. The vestibular contest is a test that the students who had finished average education do to enter the college. Each college has its proper selective process, that generally is composed by objective questions and discuss questions and still divided in some stages. One to evaluate the common knowledges of the student and other composed by specific questions related to the course that the student is concurring. In general, the most concurred courses are medicine, the legal area and engineering.

Generally, the students do the vestibular contest for different universities and even though for different courses in one same year. In case that they do not reach the average to enter the college, them, they can concur in the following year. If the student will be concuring in one particular university, he/she does not need to wait one year, therefore the particular institutions promote some vestibular contests throughout the year.

It has intense debates in Brazil on the selective process in the Brazilian universities, but the majority of them is related by partner-economic questions, in accordance with the new laws, as the one that grants to 50% of the vacant in the public universities for blacks and students of public schools. While a group defends that this is an efficient and immediate way to reduce the social inequality of the country, others affirm that this is a way to “make up“ the problem that would be much more serious: the education in the country seems as a whole since the initial series. In any way, the vacant reserve, for more controversial than either raises important questions about the Brazilian social context.

Rio de Janeiro – The Wonderful City

Placed in a privileged landscape for the natural beauty, between the sea and the mountains, the city of Rio de Janeiro is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and that is why the heading of Wonderful City was valid. Mixing culture, leisure and sports, exceeding the limits of the wonderful city, the state of Rio de Janeiro offers many options of tourist and cultural strolls, since old farms of coffee until famous beaches paradisiacal beaches and agitated nocturnal life. You will be astonished by the beauty and the contrasts of this city, headquarters of the IDM.

The Company

Through an enterprise project, the idealizers of the IDM had arrived at the northeast in August of 2002. They had elaborated an internship system believing the fact that youth is the important key for the businesses between the countries. Appeared then, the idea to intermediate periods of training for young Germans in Brazil as well as young Brazilians in Germany with the partnership of Brazilian partners who had implemented the project. Thus, the IDM Rio De Janeiro and Curitiba was established. Expanding for Florianópolis in 2006. The company has as its main objective To intermediate the Multicultural Development contributing for the intercultural development of young and people of all ages, propitiating a complementation of the teach-learning for colleges student, immersion in the language and Brazilian culture, personal growth and of customs.

Objective

People say that the internship appeared in the postwar period, with young Americans going to Europe to take care of wounded combatants, passing 2 or 3 months for there, emerging in one another culture learning with the differences - and from there assuming that this type of integration would be perfect to stamp the peace between the peoples. We do not know to specify the degree of veracity of this history, but, we share with its intention and we search to take its objectives, ahead to not only promote the peace, as well as the exchange of knowledge and experiences between young professionals whom they search to still enrich its resumes and, to make possible to the entrepreneurs a new modality of services. For this, we create the program of professional period of training.

The Internship Program

The IDM offers a program of complete period of training, with quality and security. Many options are presented, so that you can choose the one that more interest you. The period of training contract is made by us, who will be completely responsible for your period of training during all the period, and we will also offer a translator for the meetings, in case that necessary, keeping direct contact with responsible for your sector of work with biweekly reports of evaluation and exploitation, as well as leading you to your workstation during the first days or until if you feel insurance. We organize your lodging, we offer to your disposal medical services, cultural programs, taxi services, beyond promoting meetings with all the trainees. You will have our support whenever you request it, giving you a personalized attendance, assisting next to the company in which you are going to work, in the family where you will stay, as well as in the bureaucratic questions next to the Federal Police and in everything that you need, with all the security and professionalism.

The Lodging

A family is evaluated and selected with all the affection and care to receive it. The rooms are individuals with the option of one or two daily meals, everything intermediated by the company. The ideal complement for a bigger exploitation of the period of training, because it is possible to practise better the Portuguese. Also it is possible to be in furnished apartments or double rooms.

IDM’s Portuguese Course

Thinking about you, IDM has developed the IDM’s Portuguese course with its own methodology. This attitute has the proposal to low the program’s costs maintaining the quality and good attendance. The teacher’s team are composed by experienced teachers, which are responsible for the courses methodology. The classrooms are comfortable and well located. The methodology is totally based on communication. The communicate approach aims at the development of the four abilities: speak, write, understand and read, using songs, outdoors classes and extra activities.

It has the duration of four hours a day. Three hours of the class take place in the classroom and one hour is given out. It’s what we call "open classes". In these open classes you will face everyday situations like going to a bookstore, talking to an attendant or walking in Copacabana’s sidewalk, observing the Brazilian people habits. We also have a special Friday program: every Friday you will visit one of the sights of the city.

The Location

The IDM’s Portuguese Course is located in Copacabana, near the IDM’s company, and it has also classrooms at NGOs, which are supported by the company in Rio de Janeiro. When the classes take place at a NGO, part of the course price is destined to the NGO.

• MPL - Corporate Software

The project consists of making the migration of a Web System (vestibule of mpl) and the migration of a Vestibule of Content (maisde50) for technology open source (apache / PHP / MySQL). Today, as much the System when the Vestibule uses technology ASP with SQL Server.
We are looking for trainees who have:
1º - Experiences in the areas of Knowledge of Documentation (Flowchart, Logic of Programming)
2º - Knowledge of Javascript / HTML / CSS / XML / SQL 3º - Knowledge of ASP 3.0 e PHP 5.0
4º - Experience in Development of System or Vestibules with technology ASP and PHP

Meeting and events

In our community, happened a meeting in the square of Mangueira Samba School, organized by IDM. We went to see the opening of the choice of the 2007 Samba, where trainees had participated, brazilian and foreign teachers, families, friends, college students of many nationalities, in a multicultural meeting and very livened up.

Social Works

The IDM supports the Social Project Hill of the Fraternity - COFRA. Located at the feet of the mount called Morro dos Macacos, it is contributing for the development of the local community, spreading out the citizenship concept, working with children, adolescents, adults and aged people. A NGO that develops itself with the effort of the directors and the community, keeping classes of ballet and pertaining to school reinforcement for children of 4-11 years, capoeira, painting, music and computer science for adolescents, beyond the attendance to the aged ones and people in general.
The COFRA does not have support of the government and is always searching financial aid and godfathers for its projects, so that they can keep its doors opened for the community of Morro dos Macacos.
We also support the Nossa Senhora de Lourdes Institute. A school without lucrative ends, that takes care of auditory deficient children. The school is situated in Gávea, in a wonderful space, surrounded by nature, where the children can play and learn in a safe and full space of affection. The INOSEL, as it is called, takes care of the devoid children of the community of the Rocinha.
